Copper Hill is between Sipapu and Dixon. BLM says if we schedule an event they will commit to making it happen. Fun days would be a set in groups, score in groups thing with no championship points. The idea is to have a two day for people who want it and a one day for people who don’t. Let me know what you think. Hope to finalize it tomorrow.

I think the new schedule looks great! I love the idea of the 'fun days' as well! It is also awesome to have a new event location...we needed a new location badly! Only issue I see right now, which isn't really a club concern, is that NMOHVA wanted to do a 2nd Annual Sipapu Shindig in conjunction with NMTA in June again and it appears with this schedule that can't happen. I'll talk with the NMOHVA board and see if they have any ideas to work around this or not.

I know Bruce has put in a lot of time trying to get this new location so this is great news! Can't wait to check the place out and see what it has to offer. Hopefully this can turn in to an event location for many years to come!

Roger Pattison has been the driving force and main guy for Copper Hills, Bruce and Jesse used to ride there a lot. We (Roger, Kerrie, me, Laurie, and Bruce) all met with 3 people from BLM last year and did a trials demo on some rocks nearby, laid out some ribbon and generally explained trials. We will have to do some good scouting because the parking area may be an issue (a dirt road). Since it is in our "back yard" we will do some advance scouting once we get back from "snowbirding" Getting lower class riders around MIGHT be an issue, as when we went there we had to cross the highway to get to some places to ride...I am surprised that we made it an event, but doing that will probably help cement the area with BLM as a "trials area" that Roger applied for. Over time it may, with a lot of work, be a really good place to ride.
