We have submitted our insurance to the Forest Service for Lake Fork last Friday. We are waiting for them to activate our permit and give us the good to go signal. This will take a few days for them to do this. Please check back for updates... Hammer

Looks like a fire just happened on Friday caused by lightning. Forest road 376 is shut down. Fire is at 250 acres and zero percent contained... Stay tuned for updates as I get them Hammer

This just in for the Forest Service....Hello Mr. Arrants:
According to staff at the Jemez Ranger District: “It will not be possible for them to hold that event on FR376 next weekend. The fire has grown to 2,200 and all of FR376 is being closed.”
The District recommends that you try to reschedule the event. It is unknown how long the fire(s) will last and they recommend possibly sometime in September. We’ve received rain (with lightning) but conditions on the Forest have not improved much as is evidenced by several fires currently ongoing on the Forest.
